Well first of all, I just want to say thank you to everyone for all the compliments regarding my new do.
I’m a little blown away.
My “after” picture on Facebook was the most liked picture I have ever posted.
Who new a haircut would get such a huge response!
But I kind of have to agree.
I love my hair.
LOVE. IT.
I feel like a new person.
Today I put on jeans and a turtleneck and boots, just to go to Number 3’s baseball tryouts.
I haven’t done that, um, well, I don’t know…
Ever since I’ve had kids.
I picked up my yoga pants, started to put them on out of habit, and then said to myself, “My hair does not deserve these pants. And neither do I.”
And for the first time in about six years, just for the heck of it, I put earrings on.
I just feel fabulous. Like a new person.
It’s crazy how a new haircut can change your whole entire outlook.
I want all of me to look as good as my new hair!
I know it’s just hair. But like I said. I feel incredible.
So sorry if I’m being annoying. I promise I won’t keep admiring myself (for too much longer).
It just feels really good to feel really good.
As for the rest of my family?
Well, a lot of you wondered what they thought.
So here are the reviews:
Today Number 2 said to me, Your hair looks like this…
He turned his phone around, and showed me this picture:
Uh huh.
A teenage boy looked at my hair and thought of Jennifer Lawrence.
So I guess he likes it.
Number 3, not so much.
He said to me, “You don’t look like my mom.”
Number 4’s opinion?
“Mom! I’m really starting to like your haircut!”
Number 5 just fucking hates it.
Number 6 at first told me I looked like a boy.
But now he and Number 7 both agree. Two thumbs up.
And as for my husband?
Well, his response was my favorite.
It’s really sexy.
Cha ching.
One deposit, coming right up.
Thank you for making me Number 1!

LOL – You deserve the raves! No 6’s response made me chuckle — little kids want their mommas to look like GIRLs. Very die hard traditional. But you’re opening his horizons.
not your average mom says
He’ll get used to it. Number 5 is the girly girl and she is more bummed than him, but she’ll get used to it, too 😉
