I have about 4 minutes to write this post…
I’ve spent the better part of the of the past two days at the hospital.
I’m used to being on the patient end of things; I have not spent this amount of time in a hospital on the visitor end.
Here’s what I have to say.
Nurses rule.
I can handle shit and blood and puke from my own kids.
But nurses?
They deal with shit and blood and puke from other people.
Grown up shit and blood and puke, which is way worse than kid shit and blood and puke.
And feet and asses and all sorts of nasty stuff.
And lots of assholes. (Both literal and figurative).
And they do it with a smile.
I’m kind of in awe.
If you see a nurse today, tell her (or him) how awesome she (or he) is.
And to all the nurses out there,
THANK YOU.

My sister has been a nurse for 33 years and I am going to forward this post her, because she will really appreciate it!

That post means the world to us Nurses… People rarely recognize the S* we deal with both literal and figurative. It was nice to know that you had a good experience and that the nurses taking care of you made a difference!! Ty!
