Before I show you the pictures of my weight loss battle this week, I have a question…
Isn’t there some sort of unwritten facebook rule that you only post pictures of other people if they look really fucking awesome in them?
If there isn’t, there should be.
Until that rule is enacted, I will say this.
Here are the people who are allowed to put shitty pictures of me on facebook:
And for the former classmate who posted this really not awesome picture of me from middle school yesterday (the stupid looking one on the right)…
There will be payback.
When I do that, it’s funny.
When you do it?
Not so much.
That being said….
I took the most recent picture of myself this morning at 5:00.
And I fell asleep with wet hair last night, so I look even worse than usual…
I also couldn’t find the shorts that I wore in the first two pictures, so I had to roll up my pants.
And I am well aware that this may be the case:
Anyway… here are the latest…
I’ve only lost a total of 3 pounds so far.
But I have lost 2 1/2 inches in my waist.
So I’m not throwing in the towel.
In fact, last Tuesday they posted the standings after the first week.
Our team is in second place.
They also posted individual standings.
If you recall, I said I wanted to win at least two of the categories.
Well, the person who had the most cardio minutes did 780 minutes the first week.
I only did 520.
And that really pissed me off.
So last week I did 870 minutes.
I’m turning into a psycho.
Well, more of a psycho.
But hopefully I gained some ground…
Oh, and the person who swam the most laps did 139 (238 lengths, or 6950 yds, or about 4 miles).
That was me 🙂
My mission continues…
And here are the things I learned last week:
1. Apparently one of the reasons I’m not seeing a huge difference yet on the scale is because my muscles are under the impression that they are being abused, and so they are holding on to more water than usual.
If you are not seeing a difference on the scale but working out like a mother effer, grab a tape measure.
It sure did make me feel better…and it showed me that my body has changed quite a bit.
2. I don’t know about your gym, but at mine, if you are not sitting on your spin bike 5 minutes before the class starts, your bike is up for grabs.
And people do not hesistate to steal it.
So make sure you get to class early.
3. I’ve started to pay closer attention to the amount of food I’m eating.
I’ve learned two things:
One, I have an issue with peanut butter.
And two, you know those medicine cups that come with children’s ibuprofen?
They work really well for measuring out things like oil and salad dressing.
And shots of vodka.
Anyway, if you are on your own mission, hang in there, and keep it up!
