Yesterday I wrote a post about our Easter celebration and how it wasn’t anything spectacular, but how we just spent a nice day together as a family, and how I didn’t stress about the perfect Easter basket or outfit or meal or, well, the perfect anything.
Then Number 5’s kindergarten teacher sent me a picture today.
Number 5 was listing what she got for Easter:
In case you can’t read it, it says:
“Bunny and M&Ms. I got lots of time with Mommy.”
Wow.
So I share this just as a reminder not to sweat the details.
In the big picture, they don’t matter.
Because deep down, your kids don’t want lots of stuff.
They just want lots of you.

Awww that is too sweet! It’s hard to find time to spend with one child once you have more than one of them in the home. Kudos to you, you done did good for Easter. 🙂

So sweet! What a great reminder of what’s really important in life. Little kids are often so much better at truly seeing that than we are as adults. Good job, mama!
