Last week I got this text from Mo:
I’ve told you about my friend Rachel, the medium. Well she has some students who are doing mini readings tomorrow at the place Sound down the street from you. I’m totally going. Let me know if you are interested.
I do believe in that stuff.
I think there are people who have access to that sixth sense.
I’ve watched Long Island Medium. I think Theresa Caputo is the real deal.
I figured I’d go.
After all, it was only 2 miles down the road from my house.
I wasn’t sure what to expect.
I met Mo in the parking lot and we walked into the little building together.
There were about 10 people there ready for their free readings.
Upstairs were the three students.
According to Rachel, the medium, they each had their own area of expertise.
One was supposed to impart some sort of wisdom to you, one was an archetypal medium, and one saw dead people.
I went for the archetypal medium.
When it was my turn, I walked upstairs, not having any clue of what to expect.
I sat in a chair across from my medium.
I didn’t say anything to her.
I wasn’t going to give her any clues or direction.
Mo was about 15 feet away from me sitting across from her medium.
I tried to stay focused, but it was difficult because I really wanted to know what Maureen’s dude was saying to her.
I looked at my medium.
She closed her eyes and exhaled.
For like 47 seconds.
And then she said,
I see a huntsman.
She went on to tell me that the huntsman was guiding me on a path.
That I was on the trail of something big.
That I had started one thing that was blossoming into something much, much more.
I thought about the blog, and how that had led me to the furniture business, and the e-courses, and Patty, my new business coach, and all of the sudden my medium seemed much more credible.
You have a lot of support, she told me.
I thought about my friends, and the cavalry, and everything that had happened during the Christmas season.
She was right!
But everything you need is already inside of you, she continued.
I have known that all along!
She really could read me!
I walked downstairs feeling like I was headed in the right direction. That career-wise, things are about to explode.
I sat back down in the little lobby.
Mo had come with another friend who went upstairs for her reading after us.
We waited for her to come down.
About 5 minutes later, she was done.
“Which medium did you see?” Mo asked her.
“The archetypal one,” she said.
“What did she say?” Mo asked.
“She told me I have a lot of support…
…and that everything I need is already inside of me.”
Maybe these medium students need a little more practice.
Because everything they need does not appear to be inside of them.
Until it is, I think I’ll hold out for Theresa.
